I'm really bad about this one-photo-per-day thing, and that's unfortunate. Hopefully I'll get better soon. I'll try!

As far as photo-a-day sites go, photos of your pets are pretty lame, but come on. She's way too cute.

Crazy Eagle

Crazy Eagle, originally uploaded by b4refo0tmu5ic.

Having grown up in Minnesota, bald eagle sightings aren't really a rare occurance, though the bird is so amazing that it's always fun to see. Anyone here can tell instantly whether a bird is a bald eagle or not because they fly in a very distinct way, and nothing about them is really like any other bird. This is why when I went backpacking in the Boundary Waters I was amazed to see a crazy eagle sighting. The bird took off majestically from a tree and dove to catch a fish, but missed it (a rare occurance in and of itself) and then landed on the water and sat there for about 5 minutes as though it had confused itself with a sea gull. It was most definitely a strange sight.

Pissed-Off Mama Goose

Pissed-Off Mama Goose, originally uploaded by b4refo0tmu5ic.

I was walking around by the pond with my camera up to my eye, trying to capture a picture of this super cool looking heron. Once I got to the edge of the water the heron flew away and I missed the shot. As I put my camera down I looked to the left of me, and about 3.5 feet away I saw this goose. It startled me a little bit because they're giant, but I didn't think much of it because I figured that if I upset it too much it would just go in the water and be fine. It started getting noticably pissed, and it was then that I realized it was actually sitting on eggs. It started hissing at me and then I noticed that another goose was in the water, swimming towards the shore at full force.

What's a girl to do, huh? Run away fast, of course. Welllll, after adjusting my camera settings, pulling back the zoom, and taking a photo, of course.

Reflected

I've been in a colossal-sized photo-funk lately and it's been kind of rough. Luckily, through tonight's photos, I think I'm slowly crawling out of it and starting to not hate everything I shoot.

Thanks for stopping by, and hopefully the funk will disappear for real and I'll actually want to post more photos.
